Jill was brought up in rural Wiltshire and after graduation, undertook research in the field of community medicine at the University of Southampton and in road safety education at the University of Reading. She moved to Wales in the late 1980s and has been both a student and employee of the University of Wales, Lampeter. Jill joined the former Personal Development Unit in July 1997 and worked part-time setting up the evaluation of the Certificate in Interpersonal Skills for Volunteers, from student assessment questionnaires. She subsequently took over the full time post of database administrator, at the same time assisting in the development of the Introduction to Sociology Module. At home, Jill looks after her son and also helps her husband on the farm, with all the work involved in keeping Welsh and rare breed sheep. Her other interests include writing and gardening, when time allows.
Responsibilities
Jill currently works full time as database administrator, tutor and editor of course materials.
