From the perspective of the Voluntary Sector, this course examines all aspects of organisation change. Students are introduced to the change environments and how these environments can produce triggers for change within the organisation. Analysis tools are used to measure the need for change and any likely disruption caused by change within the organisation. Special consideration is paid to the common phenomenon of resistance to change amongst employees and how to best combat this problem.
The course continues to describe methods of implementing change within organisations, these methods are broken down and explained as a step-by-step guide, the student is encouraged to combine strategies from various different models to create a system best for their situation.
Finally, the course considers changing organisational culture and the problems and potential outcomes associated with such changes.
